		<description>This variety was developed by the University of California. I can't remember if it was Davis or Riverside (or a joint effort) but in either case, it was developed for warmer, drier weather. 

Again, I can't vouch for the taste, as I've never gotten that far.</description>

		<description>I'm totally a non-gardener, but I used to live out in farm country and asparagus grew like weeds all along the sides of the irrigation ditches.  That led me to believe that asparagus needs tons of water...So it seems to me that this is miracle asparagus!</description>
